film camera junkie

This is in response to puglypixel's post about her camera collection.

I've been meaning to do this since forever but I've been busy. I looked at my camera cabinet and whoa, I didn't realize I have a HUGE collection of film cameras. These are mostly toy cameras that we bought off the flea market or corporate giveaways that we got from family members. I decided to show you the collection in installments. Here's the first batch:

The thing with these cameras is that they give you unexpected photographs. Solar flares, vignettes, light leaks. These little imperfections are a huge part of their charm. Let me show you sample pictures from some of these cameras...

from the twin star camera (camera 8)

Watch out for the sequels next week.
Thanks for looking! :)

retro invites

I've been handmaking invites for our office ever since last year (or was it earlier this year... I forgot), when everybody thought it would be a good idea to put me in charge of invites. I came up with this design for a carnival themed party.

this is the cover page.

and inside the invite.

So this time I made another design for the team. Same event, different theme. Here are some of the designs I did:

Both served as teasers for the awardees and guests. I'll show you the finished products soon. The boyfriend said the bosses liked them. Yaaay!

INSPIRATION EXPLOSION: work spaces

I have always wanted to have my own space for crafting. Usually, I just find a flat, sturdy surface preferably in front of the tv. So I end up doing my stuff on the living room floor, where there's unlimited work space. Haha!

I've been saving pictures of work spaces from the interwebs as inspiration and I wanted to share some of my finds with you. :)

1. Red Star Ink's studio

2.  Someone's very nice sutdio from sweethomestyle

3. Melanie Molesworth space from annesage. Look at how clean this is! wow...

4. I love this wall decor from bookpaperscissors.

5. Of course, Rachel's house is always inspiring. It's literally colorburst in there! I love her inspiration wall.

I think I need shelves and a spacious work table. When I finish my own workspace, I promise I'll share some pics. :)

vintage typewriter = ♥

This weekend, we went to Greenhills for some much needed shopping! Haha! It's a good thing that the boyfriend enjoys shopping as much as I do so I can drag his ass to places. We saw a lot of stuff we wanted to buy but I was only able to buy a few necessities because of this:

A refurbuished Smith-Corona typewriter! This is my 2nd typewriter. The first one was a Smith-Corona Corsaire Deluxe which was given by the boyfriend. I'm not sure what model this is but I freakin love it! Dear boyfriend, thank you for carrying this ginormous thing from Greenhills to Laguna. Love you! xoxo

squareness

i am most definitely in love with anything square. so it's no surprise that when the boyfriend showed me this nifty camera that can produce square photographs WITHOUT cropping or photoshop, i immediately pooled my resources and bought it. we both got one for ourselves as back up cameras for the digital cameras that we have.

this actually looks like it was taken from Japan, but it's not. :)

this is actually my favorite in the batch. she was just sooo cute.

i love love love this camera. ♥
all of the photographs were not edited. :)

I am currently peddling these mini dress forms I made some aeons ago.
All this just to be able to watch Despicable Me on the big screen on
